(Stillwater,OK) Frustrated with the lack of championships, Oklahoma State has fired Mike Gundy. This is a shocker considering the Cowboys have had success the past couple seasons. They have turned to Von Jenkins, graduate and player at the University of Arkansas. "I am excited for the opportunity. This was a perfect fit for me since I am already a part of the Thunder organization. I am guaranteeing a Big 12 title first year," new head coach Von Jenkins promises.

As of now, the NCAA Football 12 dynasty with the Arkansas Razorbacks has been suspended indefinitely. I will resume a dynasty in NCAA Football 11 and leave the Razorbacks for most likely either South Carolina or Oklahoma State as neither have won a conference title or national title.

(Fayetteville,AR) The Missouri Tigers got a taste of what SEC football will be like for them next season following the loss at Arkansas. Mizzou looked good early as they intercepted Tyler Wilson which the Mizzou offense converted into a touchdown. "I was just really amped up for this game and let a few balls sail on me," Arkansas QB Tyler Wilson said. Wilson was making some horrible reads, threw over the middle of the field and Missouri's defense intercepted him three times. "We knew coming into this game Adams and Childs were his favorite targets. I wanted the defense to take away those options and I feel we did early, but Tyler really stepped up and made some tremendous throws," Mizzou coach Gary Pinkel states.
After the first quarter, Mizzou was in a great position only down four, but they did squander two other opportunities from turnovers. Tyler Wilson settled down after throwing three interceptions and was lights out. In the third quarter, the Razorbacks faced a fourth down on the Mizzou 39 yard line. Outside of Zach Hocker's field goal range, they call a pass play and Wilson connected with Cobi Hamilton for the back breaking touchdown.
"Too many turnovers. We must protect the ball and not put it on the ground. Our offense needs to execute better. We lost to a really good team, but we have to get our minds ready on next week as we go to #1 Oklahoma. We can't feel sorry for ourselves. We can't do anything about this Arkansas game, but we can allow our mistakes to better us," Coach Pinkel's final comments at postgame report. Both the Mizzou Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks have extremely tough road games as they take on #1 Oklahoma and #2 Alabama respectively. "I'm hoping Wilson has gotten all the interceptions out of his system. Alabama's defense will be absolutely ready to punch us in the mouth and we have to be ready for it," Coach Von Jenkins tells the media.

(New York,NY)The Thunder escape Madison Square Garden by the skin of their teeth. The Knicks were led by Carmelo Anthony, scoring 36 points and giving the Thunder defense all they could handle. Anthony took a good portion of the Knicks' shots which led to our stat of the game, blocks. Durant was locked in on Anthony swatting four of his shot attempts with the team accumulating ten total blocks at MSG. "It's these close games that are really going to help us down the stretch come playoff time. We need to know how to finish a game and who the go-to-guy is," Von Jenkins said in an interview with ESPN analyst Jalen Rose. "This is a solid win for us. However, we have some areas to improve and that will be my job in the coming months to fix these hiccups," Coach Scott Brooks shares in a post-game interview.

(Dallas, TX) Oklahoma City started out on fire with a 20-5 lead early in the first quarter. But, they squandered their lead and allowed the Mavs right back in the game. "It was a tough game tonight. I think all their starters scored 16 or 17 points. It's not like one guy was destroying us. We weren't playing good team (defense)," Russell Westbrook explains to the media. With 2:24 left in the game, Dirk Nowitzki nails a shot to go up two, 97-95. "That was a pivotal point in the game for us. If we weren't going to execute our offense and get a good shot, we were flying back to OKC without the win," Kevin Durant shares with ESPN reporters. And with the time remaining, the Thunder went on a 12-0 run to beat the Mavs. "This was a hard fought victory. The Dallas Mavericks are a tremendous ball club. We feel very fortunate to get the win," Coach Scott Brooks comments after the game.

(Los Angeles, CA) The NBA season has officially kicked off and fireworks erupted immediately. Von Jenkins left the Lakers to join the Thunder over the past offseason. The Lakers had their eye on game one of the 2012 season against none other than the Oklahoma City Thunder and Mr. Jenkins. From the start, you could tell this game would be Von versus Kobe. The first half was extremely close ending 46-46. Then, Kobe took over the game and the Lakers jumped out to a 67-57 lead with five minutes left in the third quarter. “Once we were down ten, I knew I needed to make a change,” explains Thunder coach Scott Brooks. That is when James Harden came off the bench and sparked a 17-0 run lasting into the 4th quarter. Harden went 3 for 3 from long distance.
For reasons we are unaware, Kobe sat the bench most of the fourth quarter. This seemed to be a break for the Thunder and Jenkins capitalized. “I’m glad we are starting the season off right with a W. My teammates played great and the Lakers are tremendous competitors,” Jenkins tells reporters.
The atmosphere was nothing short of electric at Staples Center. It will be very interesting to see how the Lakers respond in a couple weeks at Oklahoma City. One thing is for sure, they better find a way to contain Jenkins or he will have another sixty point night.
